The blog brings together researchers worldwide who work on the dynamics, impact, and consequences of violent internal conflict in antiquity. The purpose is to provide visibility and foster public outreach for an interdisciplinary and international community that shares with wider academic circles a keen interest in how societies disintegrate and reintegrate. The blog addresses advanced studends, graduate and postgraduate fellows and established scholars in the history, literature and archaeology of antiquity and also aims at reaching scholars in the humanities and social sciences more broadly as well as an interested non-academic readership.
