Temporalities of Care in Conservation Environments
A Workshop at the Centre for Science Studies, Lancaster University
This blog emerges from a two-day online workshop for postgraduate and early career researchers at the University of Lancaster's Centre for Science Studies. The workshop aims to contribute to the troubling of such notions of urgency and crisis in the Anthropocene. It asks: What (slow) temporalities of care are necessary in order to enable less harmful multispecies entanglements? Throughout the workshop participants will be invited to contribute to an expert-supported online blog, which will encourage collaborative engagement with participants’ research. After the workshop the blog will be shared with wider research networks and compiled into a zine.
