Max Weber Forum for South Asian Studies (MWF Delhi)
Max Weber Forum for South Asian Studies, Delhi, is the 11th institute of Max Weber Stiftung (MWS), representing German social sciences and humanities abroad. Max Weber Forum seeks to create a bridge between the academic communities working in the fields of humanities and social science research on South Asia in Germany, Europe, and the South Asian subcontinent. Originally established in New Delhi by permission of the Reserve Bank of India as the India Branch Office of MWS in 2014, the Forum promotes research with a focus on the history, culture, economy, society, and politics of South Asia, and helps to build contacts between researchers, particularly from Germany and South Asia through conferences, workshops, lectures, and research projects. It carries out its own research work as well as collaborating with research institutions engaged in this field of studies across the world.
