This research notebook is the continuation of a research work started in 2004 devoted to the prison camp of Quedlinburg (Germany) from 1914 to 1920. As part of a diploma thesis from the EHESS (under the supervision of Stéphane Audoin-Rouzeau), now this work affects all prison camps in Germany during the Great War. The content is based on testimonies from prisoners, archeology, the study of the captive press, drawings, photographs ... This notebook will therefore be addressed to researchers but also to the descendants of prisoners.
