Terrains ethnographiques nord-américains
North American Ehtnographies
Despite the US's influence in world affairs in the 20th and 21st centuries, the northern half of the Americas has been mostly ignored by French anthropologists. In 2013 we started a graduate seminar at the EHESS addressing this glaring gap. With this blog, we now turn to the community of students and researchers doing fieldwork in North America. Our hope is that this academic blog will work as a hub, a place for social scientists of all backgrounds to exchange ideas inspired by their experience of fieldwork in North American locales, and a forum to discuss ethnographic methods.
