Jews were not led to the slaughter like the sheep! This central insight from the Holocaust is the starting point of this blog. It will present new research, accompany public discussion and new museum projects, it will hint at projects to commemorate the resistance of Jews and not least present own findings from ongoing reseach on the subject. Especially in the face of growing anti-Semitism, a societal contribution shall be made - Jews are not merely objects of hatred, but of course subjects in history and in our times. The blog is supervised at Touro College Berlin by Stephan Lehnstaedt and integrates researchers as well as students.

Juden ließen sich nicht wie die Schafe zur Schlachtbank führen! Diese zentrale Erkenntnis aus dem Holocaust ist Ausgangspunkt dieses Blogs. Es soll neue Forschungen vorstellen, die öffentliche und museale Diskussion begleiten, Projekte zum Andenken an Widerstand von Juden würdigen und nicht zuletzt eigene Erkenntnisse aus der langjährigen (und weiterlaufenden) Forschung zu dem Thema präsentieren. Gerade angesichts anwachsenden Antisemitismus soll damit auch ein gesellschaftlicher Beitrag geleistet werden - Jüdinnen und Juden sind nicht bloß Objekte von Hass, sondern selbstverständlich Subjekte in Gegenwart und Geschichte.
Das Blog wird am Touro College Berlin von Stephan Lehnstaedt betreut und bindet Forscher ebenso wie Studenten in die Arbeit ein.
