Academic blog focused on aspirations, forms of identity construction and political participation of young people of North African societies

This blog aims to share the research results of the project “Globally Sensitive: Revolt, Citizenship and Expectations for the Future in North Africa”, funded by the Portuguese Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (project number IF/01002/2014/CP1239/CT0003) and coordinated by Dr. Francesco Vacchiano, Researcher at the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Lisbon (ICS-ULisboa). The goal of the project is to study and compare the forms of social and political participation and the expectations of the future enacted by groups of young people of three Arab countries (Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt) after the so-called “Arab uprisings” of 2011.

تهدف هذه المدونة إلى مشاركة القارئ نتائج البحث الجاري في إطار المشروع المعنون "حساس عالميا: الثورة والمواطنة والتوقعات المستقبلية في شمال أفريقيا". ويقوم بتنسيق المشروع٬ المدعوم من طرف مؤسسة العلوم والتكنولوجيا البرتغالية٬ الدكتور فرانشيسكو فاكيانو، باحث أول في معهد الدراسات الاجتماعية التابع لجامعة لشبونة. ويُعنى المشروع بدراسة ومقارنة أشكال المشاركة الاجتماعية والسياسية للشباب في كل من المغرب وتونس ومصر. كما يعرض التوقعات المستقبلية لهاته الفئة. وتخص هذه المدونة في المقام الأول الباحثين والمهتمين بمجال الأنثروبولوجيا والشباب والمجتمعات العربية والذاتية والحركيات الاجتماعية.
