This study day is a conference organized by doctoral students belonging to the Humanities and Social Sciences department at the University of Le Havre-Normandy. For the past three years, this conference has given doctoral students in the humanities and social sciences an opportunity to present their research as it relates to a theme chosen every year by the conference organizers. Besides allowing doctoral students to gain experience discussing their research before their peers, professors, and other members of the academic community, this conference encourages informal exchanges between doctoral students and more experienced researchers on the rewards and challenges of an academic career.
