While planning for the 2017 11th conference of the Society for Emblem Studies, which will take place for the first time in France, in Nancy, the members of the organising committee have decided to create the AEEF, an association devoted to emblem studies in France. The AEEF is an association which aims at gathering the various actors of emblem studies in France and to promote this area of research in literature just as well as in history or art history.
