Shock and Awe
This Blog addresses chances and pitfalls of new tools of visualizations – from timelines, infographics to digital cartography – techiques of complexity reduction and modeling for the historical sciences. Are shock-and-awe-visualizations – condensed visual versions of the arguments [cf. Guldi & Armitage 2014:122] – a curse or a blessing to the historian?
