Author identification

The ORCID identification system

The Open Researcher and Contributor ID (ORCID) identification system has now been deployed on OpenEdition Books.

ORCID enables authors of publications to collate all their work under a unique and permanent 16-digit identifier. This identifier provides a solution to homonymy issues and enables authors to enrich their bibliographic profile.

As soon as they have created their ORCID account, authors are able to link their publications to their ORCID identifier directly from OpenEdition Books, by clicking on the relevant button.

URL of the ORCID service:

OpenEdition, like several hundred other research institutions across the world, is a member of ORCID.
