Techniques mixtes

Techniques mixtes™ is a research document dedicated to questions of conservation and restoration applicable specifically to contemporary art. Whilst the practice of conserving and restoring artwork has a history that can be traced back to the advent of museums in the 18th century, its constitution as a regulated discipline is much more recent and can be dated to the second half of the 20th century.
