The Journal of power institutions in post-soviet societies

The Journal of Power Institutions in Post-Soviet Societies is an international social sciences webjournal with a peer review committee, which focuses on the armed forces and military structures of post-Soviet societies. The journal studies post-Soviet military organisations, their structure, evolution and relationship to society and, through their study, aims to contribute to the understanding of society and the State. By combining a variety of disciplinary perspectives, the journal aims at a better understanding of the different facets of phenomena observed.

The association's aim is to encourage, develop, publicize, promote and strengthen emphasis on research and study in the humanities and social sciences on coercive institutions in CIS member countries and, more generally, in central and eastern Europe. CERSIPS pursues this aim primarily by publishing and producing international journals, by creating and managing a data bank and documentation service, organizing and/or participating in scientific events such as colloquiums, conferences and seminars, setting up teaching and training programs, organizing consultancy and expertise missions, establishing reports, answering calls for tender and research proposals from national, European, and international institutions, and by on-line and paper publication of scientific research.
