Hermagnos
"Hermagnos" concerns three religious currents of late antiquity, the Hermetics, the Gnostics and the Manichaeans, in order to help the study of religious diversity in the Roman Empire during the first four centuries of the Christian era. It questions the definition and the formation of religious identities, the manner they are related to one another and how they integrate within the religious and cultural landscape of their time. The study is based on a multilingual corpus (essentially Greek, Coptic and Latin). On one hand, it focuses on the doctrines, the religious beliefs and the ritual practices; on the other hand, it is interests in the social integration of these religious movements.
