Fondée en 1983, le Journal of the short story in English est une revue semestrielle, entièrement consacrée à la nouvelle et aux formes brèves. Sous une direction franco-américaine (Belmont University, Nashville et Centre de Recherches Inter-Langues de l’Université d’Angers), elle réunit une équipe éditoriale de spécialistes internationaux qui sélectionnent des articles selon le principe du double-blind review et dans l’objectif de diffuser un spectre d’approches d’analyse littéraire aussi large que possible. Les numéros sont de trois sortes : généraux, thématiques ou consacrés à un auteur individuel.

Founded in 1983, the Journal of the Short Story in English is a biannual journal entirely devoted to the short story and to short forms of writing. Under French-American direction (Belmont University, Nashville and the Centre de Recherches Inter-Langues, Université d’Angers), it has an editorial team of international specialists who select articles according to the “double-blind review” principle with the aim of encouraging the broadest possible spectrum of analytical literary approaches. There are three types of issue devoted to general questions, themes or individual authors.
