The Journal of Power Institutions in Post-Soviet Societies is an international social sciences webjournal with a peer review committee, which focuses on the armed forces and military structures of post-Soviet societies. The journal studies post-Soviet military organisations, their structure, evolution and relationship to society and, through their study, aims to contribute to the understanding of society and the State. By combining a variety of disciplinary perspectives, the journal aims at a better understanding of the different facets of phenomena observed.
